ABOUT THE FOUNDER

MICHAEL MIHAI OLTEANU

• Romanian born and raised, after a career in sport , Michael took his ventures in
hospitality working first in Cruise Ships with the Celebrity brand for 6 years reaching
the MatreD ranking than moving to work in land base hotels in Thailand where he
climb up to the GM role. Michael span a 19 years career in hospitality.

• Michael has “flirted” with the recruitment since 2008 when he co-owned a
recruitment agency in Bangkok sourcing talents out of Thailand for well reputed
Cruise lines out of Miami and for hotels/resorts in the GCC area.

• In 2015, while he was acting as a GM for a brand-new resort in Thailand, Michael
decided to finally take the step and build a career in Recruitment while taking a role
as Regional Director for OPUS HOSPITALITY a recruitment brand established in
Thailand since 2002 and managing the company business for Asia and GCC.

• In 2016, Michael decided to establish its own company and opened the first office in
Brasov Romania while shortly after new offices and virtual offices around SEA (
Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Bali), this was the time when Michael
first meet Mr. Dewa in Bali and started collaborating with him ever since. Today
Opus Bali is mirroring Opus Romania. Presently, Opus has its own presence with
physical or virtual offices is several locations in Eastern Europe and SEA
